Here is a recording of a public meeting at Fort Lewis College in Durango featuring U.S. Forest Service, Forest Entomologist Tom Eager on the subject of the current SPRUCE BEETLE EPIDEMIC in Southwest Colorado.

Worth the time to watch the whole thing.
A VERY informative presentation.

Also, an Insect & Disease Workshop will be presented by Colorado State Forest Service, Forest Entomologist Dan West, at the La Plata County Extension Building in Durango from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday April 15th.  This will be a great opportunity to bring your questions and samples of insect & disease issues that you may be experiencing in your trees and shrubs.
